My accomplishments cannot be understood without mentioning my past. I was born to two drug addicted parents and my home life was more then just unstable. Not only have I excelled in academics, but I am drug free and dedicated to helping others. I believe that although I can't change the world all by myself, I can make a difference!

First and foremost God is a major influence in my life. When the weight of the world seems to weigh down on my shoulders I pray to God for encouragement. I am reminded daily that I have a purpose in life that no one can fulfill but me. I am reminded daily that I must let God shine through me wherever I am and whatever I am doing.

The lessons I want to pass on to the youth are lessons of forgivness and hope. Many times youth are told that they will become just like their parents. I am a living testimony that through forgiving our past and believing in our future we can become whatever we dream to become. 

Calling others: I am currently seeking all interested educators, artists, writers, performers, community activists, nonprofit specialists, former foster children, and whomever else believes in my vision to join the Board of Directors for a nonprofit residential school for at-risk youth with hands-on arts based focus, lifeskills workshops, entreprenuership training, community service, higher education, and mentorship. In 2010 I will graduate with a B.A in Studio Arts and an American Humanics Nonprofit Professional Studies certificate. My main goal is to work cooperatively and creatively with others to establish and maintain a residential school that teaches Arkansas’ Learning Standards as defined in the Arkansas Curriculum Frameworks with an emphasis on the arts and a student-tailored educational plan. I want to provide greater educational opportunities primarily to at-risk youth with my school.

Former Board of Directors for Simone's Home Inc, a non-profit organization established to give teenage girls in foster care the opportunity to excel in a variety of different, positive areas of life teachings. It is a community-based residence dedicated to girls who are in long-term foster care throughout Arkansas. Our mission is “to provide the needed tools to help young girls ages 12-18 to become self-sufficient women beyond foster care, to teach, guide and promote good choices so they can rise above their circumstances and reach their full potential." We are in search of dedicated board members.
