OBJECTIVE                                                                                                 

 

                                                            Work cooperatively and creatively with others to establish and maintain a residential school that teaches Arkansas’ Learning Standards as defined in the Arkansas Curriculum Frameworks with an emphasis on the arts and a student-tailored educational plan; To provide greater educational opportunities primarily to at-risk youth.



 

WORK EXPERIANCE

Oct. 2005 – Present                           Freelance artist/writer/motivational speaker/ teacher/child advocate at Mustard Seed Creations, Little Rock, Arkansas. Create through a variety of mediums to serve the mission of helping others. Promote and market art and poetry. Write and edit on a freelance basis. Design logos. Draw and paint portraits and murals. Teach art and organize youth in mural painting. Raise funds. Manage finances and budgets. Plan, organize, and coordinate events. Collaborate with community artists.

Sept. 2007 – Present                          Creative Director/Fundraising Committee Chair at Simone’s Home Inc., a child welfare agency and community based residence for girls in long-term foster care, Little Rock, Arkansas.  Lead in decision-making as it pertains to the arts to serve SHI mission and goals; develop programs, services,  and teach art to community youth; fundraise; minor budgeting and financial management in regards to fundraising; event planning, coordination, and promotion; mentoring; public speaking; child advocacy.
